Ninjutso has started teasing its next wireless gaming mouse, the Sora V3, signaling an early February release. The teaser appeared on the company’s official X account, arriving shortly after the Sora V2 received its 8K polling rate update. While official specifications have not yet been shared, the timing suggests the Sora V3 will build closely on the existing V2 platform rather than introduce a major redesign.
The Sora V2 is known for its extremely low weight, measuring just 39 grams while retaining a solid shell design. Based on this, the Sora V3 is expected to remain at or below the same weight class. Given the recent firmware update on the V2, native 8 kHz wireless polling support is likely to be included. Sensor expectations point toward at least a PixArt PAW3395, with the possibility of an upgrade to the newer 3950. Omron optical switches for the main buttons are also expected, following current trends in high-end competitive mice.
Alongside the teaser post, Ninjutso shared a partial image of the Sora V3 and added the comment, “Best claw grip mouse of 2026?” This suggests a renewed focus on claw grip users. From the image, the overall shape appears similar to the Sora V2, but with subtle refinements. The hump looks slightly taller, continuing the design change introduced with the V2, which featured a shorter body and higher rear profile than the original Sora.

The front edge of the mouse and the primary buttons also appear to sit lower than before, which could improve finger positioning and click control. In addition, the side buttons look more raised and defined, potentially making them easier to locate during fast-paced gameplay.
Ninjutso has not yet confirmed pricing, battery specifications, or an exact launch date. More details are expected closer to the official announcement in early February.
