Keychron has launched the Q1 HE Copper Edition, expanding its lineup of premium mechanical keyboards with an all-copper design. Following the ceramic Q16 HE 8K introduced in September, the new Copper Edition uses solid copper for both its top and bottom shells, giving the keyboard a noticeably heavier feel.
The keyboard weighs 4kg, compared to 1.735kg for the standard aluminum Q1 HE, and is priced at $499.99. It adopts a tenkeyless (TKL) layout and features Gateron Nebula switches with a dual-rail design. High-profile dye-sublimated PBT keycaps with a metallic finish complement the copper frame, giving the keyboard a cohesive look.

Keychron has incorporated several structural and functional enhancements. The Q1 HE Copper Edition uses a double-gasket mounting system along with an aluminum alloy positioning plate. Multi-layered sound-damping materials reduce typing noise, while hot-swappable switches allow users to easily change switch types. The keyboard also has south-facing RGB backlighting.

Connectivity options include tri-mode support with a 1000Hz polling rate. A built-in 4000mAh battery provides up to 100 hours of use on a single charge, making it suitable for extended sessions without frequent recharging.
The Q1 HE Copper Edition reflects Keychron’s continued focus on experimenting with new materials and providing durable, high-quality mechanical keyboards for enthusiasts and professionals.
