Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, the company’s first dedicated desktop speakers for gaming. Announced during the latest State of Play showcase, the new audio product expands the Pulse lineup, which currently includes the Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore earbuds. Pulse Elevate is designed for use with PlayStation 5, PC, Mac, PlayStation Portal, and mobile devices, offering versatility for different gaming and entertainment setups.

The speakers are powered by planar magnetic drivers, delivering detailed sound across the full audio spectrum. When paired with PS5, the technology enhances supported titles through Tempest 3D AudioTech, positioning sound effects with precision for a more immersive gaming experience. To complement the high-frequency detail, built-in woofers provide deeper bass output, creating a balanced sound profile suitable for gaming and multimedia use.

Connectivity is handled through PlayStation Link, Sony’s proprietary wireless solution that ensures low-latency and lossless audio across compatible devices. The Pulse Elevate also includes Bluetooth support, enabling simultaneous connections—for example, players can use PlayStation Link for game audio while pairing a smartphone via Bluetooth for music or calls. A PlayStation Link USB-C adapter will be included for consoles and PCs without built-in support.
A key addition to the speakers is the integrated microphone on the right speaker. Using AI-based noise rejection, the mic filters out unwanted background sounds, allowing players to communicate clearly in multiplayer sessions without a headset. This feature provides a headset-free solution for voice chat in desktop setups.

The Pulse Elevate is also built with portability in mind. The rechargeable battery supports use with the PlayStation Portal or smartphones on the go, while charging docks make it simple to return to a desktop environment. Audio customization options, including EQ adjustment, sidetone, mic mute, and volume control, can be managed directly on the speakers or via system menus on PS5 and PC.
Sony confirmed that the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers will launch in 2026 and will be available in Midnight Black and White finishes. Additional details on pricing and availability will be shared closer to release.
