Team Cherry has released details on the first post-launch update for Hollow Knight Silksong, arriving just days after the long-awaited sequel launched across PC and major console platforms. The patch focuses on fixing bugs, improving progression, and making small balance adjustments aimed at smoothing out the early game.
According to Team Cherry, the update is expected to roll out “mid next week” for all players. However, PC users on Steam and GOG can already access the changes through the public beta branch.
The update addresses multiple issues that affected progression, both in the early and late stages of the game. Some players had encountered blockers that prevented advancement, while others ran into bugs that stopped late-game content from being accessible. These fixes are designed to ensure smoother playthroughs for newcomers and veterans alike.

Balance changes form another key part of the patch. The first two bosses—Moorwing and Sister Splinter—have been slightly adjusted to ease difficulty in the early hours of the game. Enemy tuning has also been revised, with Sandcarvers now dealing reduced damage. To further support progression, in-game economy adjustments include a reduction in prices for mid-game Bellway and Bell Bench checkpoints, along with increases to rosary rewards gained from relics, psalm cylinders, and courier deliveries. These adjustments provide players with more resources while keeping the core challenge intact.
Since its launch, Hollow Knight Silksong has already surpassed 5 million players, a milestone reached within just five days. This rapid growth highlights the continued popularity of the Hollow Knight series and the strong anticipation that surrounded the release.
While Team Cherry works on further updates, the modding community has already begun to introduce additional ways to experience the game. These mods add variety for players without disrupting the intended balance and challenge.
With the first update already in testing, players can expect a more stable and balanced experience as they continue exploring the world of Silksong.
