Xiaomi is bringing a new option for tea drinkers to its Youpin platform with the Mijia Titanium Insulated Mug Tea and Water Separation Edition. The 500ml mug combines a pure titanium construction with a separation mechanism that lets users control how long tea stays in contact with water.
The new Xiaomi Mijia Titanium Insulated Mug is priced at 199 yuan, which is around $28 USD, and will be available through crowdfunding on Xiaomi Youpin. It comes in Moonlight Silver and Space Gray, giving users two relatively simple color choices for everyday use.
The main feature is the mug’s tea and water separation system. Users can invert the cup to allow water to enter the tea compartment. When the mug is returned to its normal upright position, the tea and water separate. This gives users more control over the brewing process instead of leaving tea leaves in the water continuously.
The cup body, filter, and inner lining of the lid are made from pure titanium. Xiaomi has also used a removable filter, making it easier to clean the inside of the mug after use. The cup body is BPA-free, while the removable design helps users access the different parts of the mug during cleaning.
The tea compartment can also be detached and used as an everyday thermos. This adds another use case for the product beyond brewing tea, particularly for users who want a compact container for regular drinking.
With its 500ml capacity, the Xiaomi Mijia Titanium Insulated Mug is designed for both tea preparation and daily drinking. The combination of titanium components, a removable filter, and the tea-and-water separation mechanism gives the mug a more specialized design than a conventional insulated cup.
The product is now listed on Xiaomi Youpin, with crowdfunding availability planned at 199 yuan (approximately $28).
