Based on details from the removed footage, the new Steam Controller is designed with a focus on customization and PC gaming flexibility. It reportedly includes dual touchpads, a feature that has long set Valve’s controllers apart, along with four programmable buttons that allow users to tailor inputs to their preferences. A hall effect sensor is also part of the package, which could help improve longevity and accuracy compared to traditional analog mechanisms.
In addition to its input features, the controller is said to include HD rumble for more detailed haptic feedback. Connectivity options appear to cover both Bluetooth and a 2.4 GHz wireless dongle, giving users flexibility depending on their setup.
