TP-Link is preparing to bring WiFi 8 to its consumer networking router lineup with the new Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra routers. The company has announced both models ahead of IFA 2026, with the new hardware targeting users who want faster wireless networking, broader coverage, and support for a large number of connected devices.
The Archer 8 Ultra, also known as the Archer BN19000, uses a tri-band configuration and features 18 internal high-performance antennas. TP-Link claims the router can reach combined wireless speeds of up to 19Gbps. The company also says its antenna configuration is designed to provide consistent coverage across the home. On the wired side, the Archer 8 Ultra includes 10Gbps connectivity, giving users a high-speed option for PCs, NAS devices, and other compatible hardware.
The Deco 8 Ultra BN22000 is designed for users who need a mesh networking system rather than a single router. TP-Link says a three-pack can cover up to 9,800 square feet and handle more than 200 connected devices. The system is rated for aggregate wireless speeds of up to 22Gbps and also includes 10Gbps wired networking.
For context, TP-Link’s WiFi 7-based Deco 7 Elite three-pack is rated for up to 9,000 square feet of coverage and up to 20Gbps of combined wireless throughput. On paper, the Deco 8 Ultra increases both figures, although real-world performance will depend on the home layout, connected hardware, interference, and other network conditions.
TP-Link has not yet revealed pricing for either of its new WiFi 8 products. The company says pre-orders for the Archer 8 Ultra and Deco 8 Ultra will begin on September 30, 2026. More information is expected around their IFA 2026 showcase.
The company is also planning to expand its WiFi 8 range beyond these two routers. TP-Link says additional products, including WiFi 8 range extenders and adapters, are planned for release during the first and second quarters of 2027.
