TeamGroup is targeting the growing market for action cameras, 360-degree cameras, and drones with its new ACE 8K MicroSDXC Memory Card. The company says the new storage card is designed to handle high-resolution video recording, including 4K footage at 120 FPS, while offering capacities of up to 1TB for creators who need more space on the go.
Modern cameras can quickly fill a memory card when recording high-frame-rate 4K video, particularly when shooting long sessions or capturing footage from 360-degree cameras. TeamGroup’s ACE 8K is built around this type of workload, with support for devices including Insta360 and DJI cameras as well as drones and other handheld imaging equipment.
The ACE 8K carries U3 and V30 speed ratings, along with A2 Application Performance Class certification. TeamGroup lists sequential read speeds of up to 160 MB/s and write speeds of up to 110 MB/s when the card is used with a professional card reader. These specifications are aimed at providing fast transfers after recording while supporting demanding video workloads on compatible devices.
Storage capacity is another major part of the ACE 8K lineup. TeamGroup will offer the MicroSDXC card in capacities reaching up to 1TB, giving users significantly more room for high-resolution video, photographs, and other large files. A larger-capacity card can also reduce the need to frequently stop recording to replace or offload storage during outdoor shoots.
The card is particularly aimed at creators capturing 360-degree panoramas, sports footage, handheld videos, and everyday content. The company is also using eco-friendly inks and coloring technologies in the card’s product printing. TeamGroup says this approach provides the ACE 8K with its visual identity while supporting more environmentally conscious manufacturing practices.
The ACE 8K MicroSDXC Memory Card comes with a lifetime warranty. TeamGroup has not yet announced complete pricing and sales information for the new storage card, with availability details expected through its major distribution channels.
