TeamGroup Introduces T-Create Classic H514 PCIe 5.0 SSD for AI and Content Creation

TeamGroup has introduced the T-Create Classic H514 M.2 PCIe 5.0 SSD, expanding its storage lineup with a solution designed to handle demanding workloads associated with modern creative applications and local AI development. The new solid-state drive uses the PCIe Gen 5 x4 interface and is rated for sequential read speeds of up to 14,200 MB/s and write speeds of up to 13,300 MB/s, placing it among the faster consumer NVMe drives currently available.

The company positions the T-Create Classic H514 for professionals working with high-resolution video editing, image processing, visual effects production, and 3D modeling. Large project files and complex timelines often require sustained high-bandwidth storage, and PCIe Gen5 drives aim to reduce delays caused by slower data access. The increased throughput may help improve workflow efficiency when working with large creative assets, particularly in scenarios where multiple files are accessed simultaneously.

TeamGroup states that the drive is also suitable for AI-focused workloads, including local inference and model training environments. As generative AI tools continue to expand in size and complexity, storage performance plays an increasing role in maintaining responsive development environments. With capacities of up to 4 TB using 3D NAND flash memory, the T-Create Classic H514 is designed to support large datasets and AI language models ranging from 7B to 175B parameters stored locally, reducing reliance on external storage solutions.

The SSD integrates a 6 nm controller intended to deliver low latency response times, with a rated read latency of 0.05 ms and a write latency of 0.015 ms. Lower latency can help maintain smoother system behavior when handling multi-layered projects or large asset libraries, especially when combined with high-performance CPUs and GPUs.

To address thermal requirements commonly associated with PCIe Gen5 storage, TeamGroup offers two cooling solutions. Users can choose between an ultra-thin graphene heatsink designed for compatibility with compact systems or a matte-black aluminium heatsink intended to improve heat dissipation during extended workloads. This approach allows the drive to be installed across a wide range of desktop configurations, including performance-oriented workstations.

TeamGroup also notes that the T-Create Classic H514 is manufactured using halogen-free and lead-free materials and complies with RoHS environmental standards. The company continues to highlight sustainability considerations alongside performance-focused product development.

Availability and regional pricing details may vary depending on distribution channels. Additional product information is expected to be published through TeamGroup’s official partners and retailers as the drive becomes available in global markets.
