A new racing experience in the Star Wars universe is on the way, as Star Wars: Galactic Racer is officially set to launch on October 6, 2026. The title will be available across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Pre-orders are now live, covering multiple editions with a starting price of $59.99 for the Standard version.
The game introduces players to the Galactic League, an underground racing circuit operating in the Outer Rim. Unlike traditional Star Wars stories, this title focuses on skill-based competition rather than Force abilities. Players step into the role of a pilot known as Shade, taking part in a single-player campaign built around rivalries, alliances, and high-risk races.
Vehicle customization plays a central role, allowing players to experiment with different builds across landspeeders, speeder bikes, and skim speeders. Podracers are also part of the lineup, bringing a familiar element for long-time fans. Each vehicle class offers a different handling style, encouraging players to adapt their approach depending on the race and track conditions.
Alongside the campaign, the game includes online multiplayer modes where players can compete against others. Pre-order bonuses include a platform-specific vehicle livery and a Player Banner background for multiplayer profiles.
The Deluxe Edition, priced at $79.99, expands the content with three additional vehicles and dedicated Arcade events designed around them. It also includes a cosmetic livery pack, a Player Banner bundle, and a digital art book featuring early designs and in-game assets. Players who opt for the Standard Edition can upgrade later through a separate Deluxe upgrade.
A physical Collector’s Edition is also planned for launch, priced at $159.99. This version includes a model of the Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder, themed collectibles such as pilot patches and a banner, and a steel case with premium packaging. It also grants access to all digital items included in the Deluxe Edition.
With its focus on fast-paced racing and vehicle customization, Star Wars: Galactic Racer is shaping up to deliver a different take on the franchise when it arrives this October.
