If you’re looking for a kids’ electric scooter without paying adult-scooter prices, Segway’s latest lineup is worth a look. The company has introduced three new electric rides for younger users, including the $179.99 C2 Go, the Sam’s Club-exclusive C2 SE, and the $449.99 S2 Kids self-balancing scooter.

The new models are designed around short local rides rather than high-speed travel. Both the Segway C2 Go and C2 SE can reach up to 10 mph and offer a claimed range of around eight miles, or roughly 13 km, on a full charge. The S2 Kids is aimed at children who are still learning to balance, using a hoverboard-style platform with a knee pole that riders can hold for additional stability.

The C2 Go is the most affordable model of the three at $179.99. It weighs 17 lbs. (7.7 kg), uses 7-inch tires, and is designed for children ages 6 to 10 who weigh up to 110 lbs. (50 kg). It also folds for storage and includes 256-color RGB lighting underneath the deck. Segway plans to begin sales on September 8, 2026, through its online store and authorized dealers.

For $199.98, the C2 SE offers a slightly higher 121-lb. (55 kg) maximum rider weight while retaining the same roughly eight-mile range and 10 mph top speed. It weighs 19.2 lbs. (8.7 kg), but unlike the C2 Go, it does not have under-deck lighting. The C2 SE is already available at Sam’s Club stores across the US and can only be purchased by Sam’s Club members.

The S2 Kids takes a different approach. At 23.8 lbs. (10.8 kg), it uses a self-balancing design with a knee pole and supports riders weighing up to 132 lbs. (60 kg). Segway has equipped it with front and rear lights, RGB accent lighting, an LED dashboard, and voice prompts. It can also function as a Bluetooth speaker, adding another use beyond getting around.
The S2 Kids costs $449.99 and is available for pre-order through Segway and authorized dealers. With prices starting below $200, the C2 Go and C2 SE could appeal to families looking for a basic electric ride for short trips, while the S2 Kids targets children who want a more hoverboard-like experience.
