Seasonic has expanded its premium power supply lineup with the launch of the Vertex SAKURA GX-1000 Edition, a limited-run unit that combines updated platform support with a distinctive design. The release follows the earlier Sakura-themed model introduced in 2024, now refreshed to meet newer industry standards.

The Vertex SAKURA GX-1000 Edition is built on the company’s latest Vertex GX platform and adds support for ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1. These updates are aimed at ensuring compatibility with newer hardware, especially next-generation graphics cards that rely on revised power delivery requirements. A native 12V-2×6 connector is included, paired with a pink-and-white braided cable that matches the overall theme and offers improved durability.

Visually, the Sakura Edition continues the cherry blossom concept, featuring a printed tree pattern across the PSU housing. This design sets it apart from standard models in the Vertex lineup and targets users building themed PC setups. The unit measures 160 mm in length, 150 mm in width, and 86 mm in height, which keeps it within the typical size range for modern ATX power supplies.
In terms of performance, the power supply is rated at 1000W and carries an 80 Plus Gold certification. Efficiency is rated at around 90% under typical load conditions, which aligns with expectations for this class. The fully modular design allows users to connect only the required cables, helping with airflow and cable management inside the chassis.

Cooling is handled by a 135 mm fan, supported by an updated thermal design intended to maintain stable operation under load. Seasonic also notes the use of high-quality internal components, a common feature for its higher-tier offerings.
The Vertex SAKURA GX-1000 Edition is backed by a warranty ranging from 10 to 12 years, depending on the region. With updated standards and a limited-edition design, this model is positioned for users who want current compatibility along with a more customized system appearance.
