Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has announced the Computer Speaker 2 Pro, now available for pre-order through the Xiaomi Youpin platform. Priced at 369 yuan (around USD 51), the speaker is positioned as a multi-purpose desktop audio solution. Customers can choose between two finishes, graphite black and metallic silver.
The Redmi Computer Speaker 2 Pro features a cylindrical design with a 53-degree speaker elevation angle, which is intended to align with the natural hearing position when placed on a desk. Its outer body is covered with a metal mesh layer, while internally it houses four drivers—two 10W runway round speakers and two bass passive units. The speaker has been evaluated by the Golden Ear Laboratory and received the “CGEC Golden Ear Preferred Product” certification after passing double-blind listening tests.
In terms of audio performance, the speaker integrates DSP multi-sound effects technology along with a digital amplifier, forming a fully digital signal chain. This configuration helps deliver low-noise output with high dynamics while allowing users to select from five EQ sound modes, suited for different entertainment scenarios such as gaming, movies, or music.
To complement its audio features, the Redmi Computer Speaker 2 Pro includes 24 embedded RGB lamp beads that support six lighting effects. These lighting modes can synchronize with music, providing a visual element to the listening experience. For controls, users are provided with a side-mounted multifunction knob and dual buttons on the top, enabling adjustments to volume, EQ modes, channel selection, and lighting.
The device supports three-channel connectivity, offering USB digital transmission, Bluetooth 5.3, and AUX input. This versatility makes it compatible with a wide range of devices, including computers, tablets, and smartphones. Additionally, the speaker is equipped with a built-in microphone with AEC echo cancellation technology, and users can connect external microphones via the 3.5mm jack located at the back.
