Both mousepads feature different materials and base designs while aiming to provide stable mouse tracking and long-term durability.
The Gaming Mousepad Esports Edition is designed for players who prefer a balanced-sized surface without taking up excessive desk space. It measures 490mm in length and 420mm in width, providing enough room for fast mouse movements while remaining suitable for tournament-style gaming setups and compact desks.
REDMAGIC says the Esports Edition uses a highly smooth microfiber yarn surface that delivers consistent tracking performance for optical and laser gaming mice. The company describes the surface texture as neutral with a slightly rough feel, allowing players to make controlled movements while maintaining precision during aiming and fine cursor adjustments.
Beneath the surface, the Esports Edition features a 4mm polyurethane base with a carbon fiber texture. The thicker base is designed to improve grip on a variety of desk materials, helping the mousepad remain stable during long gaming sessions. REDMAGIC also states that the combination of the surface and base improves positioning accuracy and fine-tuning control for competitive gameplay.
Alongside the Esports Edition, REDMAGIC has also introduced the Gaming Mousepad Standard Edition, which is aimed at users looking for a larger desk mat. Measuring 900mm long and 400mm wide, the Standard Edition provides enough space for both a keyboard and mouse, making it suitable for gaming setups as well as general desktop use.
The Standard Edition features a fine-textured, high-density fiber woven surface with stitched edge locking to help prevent fraying after extended use. On the underside, REDMAGIC uses a 3mm natural rubber base that helps keep the mousepad securely in place during gaming or everyday work.
