Razer Launches Kiyo V2 Pro Webcam With 4K 60 FPS Video and Sony STARVIS 2 Sensor

Razer is adding a new high-end option to its webcam lineup with the Kiyo V2 Pro, a 4K model designed for gamers, streamers, and content creators who want smoother video and more control without moving to a dedicated camera setup. The webcam combines 4K resolution at 60 FPS with a Sony STARVIS 2 sensor, an 86-degree wide-angle lens, automatic framing, and software-based image controls.

The Razer Kiyo V2 Pro’s Sony STARVIS 2 sensor is designed to capture more light, helping the camera maintain image quality in darker environments. Razer says the webcam can record crisp 4K footage at 60 FPS while reducing motion blur, which should be useful for streamers who move around during broadcasts or creators recording demonstrations.

The 86-degree lens captures a wider portion of the scene while limiting edge distortion. This gives creators enough room to show their desk, gaming setup, products, or additional equipment without having to position the camera too far away.

Razer has also built intelligent auto-framing into the Kiyo V2 Pro. The system uses dynamic pan, tilt, and zoom to follow the creator’s movements and keep them centered in the frame. This can be particularly useful during livestreams where the user may move around instead of remaining directly in front of the webcam.

For users who prefer automatic adjustments, One-Click Image Enhancement can optimize exposure, white balance, and noise reduction based on the lighting conditions. More experienced creators can instead use the available software controls to adjust settings such as color and sharpness.

The Kiyo V2 Pro also supports Ultra-High Dynamic Range (UHDR), which is designed to preserve more detail in bright highlights and dark areas while maintaining color depth. This should help when recording in rooms with uneven lighting or bright light sources behind the user.

On the hardware side, the webcam comes with a universal pivoting mount that supports both monitor and tripod placement. Razer has also included an integrated privacy shutter, allowing users to physically cover the camera when it is not being used.

To expand the webcam’s software features, Razer has partnered with Camo Studio and is offering a complimentary Camo Pro subscription. The software provides access to features including auto-framing and additional webcam controls.
