Razer has announced the Barracuda V2 Pro, a premium wireless gaming headset designed for players who switch between PC gaming, consoles, handheld devices, and smartphones. The new model combines 40 mm TriForce Bio-Cellulose drivers, THX Spatial Audio+ with 7.1.4 virtual surround sound on PC, Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), and AI-powered microphone noise cancellation. It also supports simultaneous 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth audio, with a claimed battery life of up to 70 hours.

“Gamers want one headset that keeps up with their whole day, and the Barracuda V2 Pro is our answer,” said Barrie Ooi, Head of PC Gaming Division at Razer. “It brings Razer-grade gaming audio, Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, AI-powered Dual-Mode microphones with noise cancellation, and all-day battery life into one headset that moves with you from your battlestation to mobile gaming, without asking players to compromise on any of it.”
The Barracuda V2 Pro uses Razer HyperSpeed Wireless to provide low-latency audio across supported platforms. Razer claims the technology delivers audio latency up to twice as fast as Bluetooth LE. A built-in SmartSwitch button allows users to switch between 2.4 GHz wireless and Bluetooth, while simultaneous audio playback lets them listen to game sound and remain connected to calls, messages, or music without leaving their game.

For audio reproduction, the headset features 40 mm TriForce Bio-Cellulose drivers designed to deliver clear highs, detailed mids, and deep bass. When connected to a PC, users can access THX Spatial Audio+ with 7.1.4 virtual surround sound, which adds four virtual overhead channels to improve positional audio.
Hybrid ANC uses external and internal-facing microphones to reduce environmental noise, while AI-powered noise cancellation helps improve voice clarity. The dual-mode microphone system includes a detachable boom microphone for gaming and team communication, alongside integrated beamforming microphones for calls and mobile use without the boom.

Weighing 285 grams, the Barracuda V2 Pro features a foldable, lay-flat design, plush ear cushions, and integrated wireless dongle storage. Razer claims up to 70 hours of battery life, although actual runtime will depend on usage and enabled features. The headset is designed to cover gaming, entertainment, calls, and travel in a single device.

The Razer Barracuda V2 Pro is available for an official retail price of $199.99 and can be purchased through Razer’s official website and Amazon US. With support for THX Spatial Audio+, Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, simultaneous 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth audio, and up to 70 hours of battery life, the headset combines gaming-focused features with options for everyday listening and travel.
