PNY has officially expanded its lineup of GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards with the introduction of “Triple Fan Plus” models. These newly announced variants, first spotted by VideoCardz, feature the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti “Blackwell” GPU and are designed with a larger cooling solution compared to the previously announced Triple Fan models. The updates appear to focus on improved thermals and aesthetics, positioning these new cards as an appealing option for gamers and PC enthusiasts looking for enhanced cooling performance.
A Growing Trend Among AIB Partners
The addition of these “Plus” models follows a recent trend among NVIDIA’s board partners, who have quietly expanded their product lineups without major press announcements. ZOTAC recently introduced new “slimmer” CORE models for its SOLID GeForce RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti series, reinforcing the notion that AIBs are making strategic adjustments to their offerings post-CES 2025.

PNY’s approach is no different. The “Triple Fan Plus” models bring a larger cooler design, which suggests a focus on better thermal management and possibly quieter operation. At the time of writing, official pricing and availability details remain undisclosed, but given the naming convention, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti ARGB Triple Fan Plus OC is expected to be the flagship model within this new sub-series.
Larger Dimensions and Updated Shroud Design
A key change in the “Triple Fan Plus” lineup is the increased physical footprint. Compared to the standard Triple Fan variant, the Plus models have grown by 1.7 cm in width and approximately 3 cm in length. This larger cooler now fully occupies three PCIe slots, whereas the standard Triple Fan version was rated at 2.8 slots. This expansion suggests that PNY has opted for a more robust cooling system, potentially allowing for lower temperatures and improved sustained performance under heavy loads.

Visually, the “Triple Fan Plus” models sport a refreshed shroud design with subtle enhancements. VideoCardz notes that the new design includes shinier black accents and wider ARGB lighting channels, which could appeal to users who prefer a more premium aesthetic. Additionally, retail packaging has been updated. Instead of the simpler “GeForce RTX” branding found on the original models, the new packaging explicitly displays “GeForce RTX 5070 Ti” on the front, making product identification easier for customers.
Expected Market Positioning
While PNY has yet to provide details on launch timing or pricing, it is likely that these “Triple Fan Plus” models will sit just above the existing Triple Fan versions in terms of cost. Given the enhanced cooling and potential factory overclocking on select SKUs, they may appeal to users who want better thermals without stepping up to a liquid-cooled or extreme air-cooled design.
With the launch of these new variants, PNY continues to refine its GeForce RTX 50 series offerings, catering to different segments within the gaming and enthusiast markets. As more AIBs make similar moves, it will be interesting to see if NVIDIA’s partners introduce additional refinements to their existing product lines in the coming months.
Stay tuned for further updates as more details on PNY’s latest graphics cards emerge.
