Glorious has announced the new GHS Wireless InfinitePlay gaming headset, introducing a battery system designed to remove one of the biggest limitations of wireless gaming headsets. Instead of forcing users to stop gaming and plug in a charging cable, the headset uses swappable battery packs alongside an internal backup battery that keeps audio and wireless connectivity active during battery changes.

Wireless gaming headsets have become a popular choice for PC and console gamers, but battery charging often interrupts long gaming sessions. Glorious aims to solve that issue by including two removable battery packs, each rated for more than 85 hours of use. While one battery powers the headset, the second battery can be charged separately, allowing users to swap between them whenever needed.

Unlike traditional battery swapping, where the headset briefly powers down and reconnects, the GHS Wireless InfinitePlay remains active during the entire process. This is made possible by Glorious’ Guardian Battery System, a built-in backup battery originally introduced in the company’s V3 gaming mouse lineup. The internal battery can power the headset for more than 3 hours on its own, giving users enough time to replace the external battery without losing game audio, voice chat, or wireless connectivity.

The headset also focuses on delivering accurate in-game sound. It features custom-tuned 40 mm angled audio drivers that are positioned to match the angle of the human ear better. According to Glorious, this design improves positional audio, helping players better identify enemy footsteps, directional effects, vehicle movement, and environmental sounds during gameplay. The company says the angled driver layout creates a more natural listening experience compared to traditional driver placement.

Voice communication is handled through a detachable boom microphone equipped with environmental noise cancellation. The microphone is designed to reduce background noise while keeping voice communication clear during multiplayer sessions. For everyday use, users can remove the boom microphone and rely on the built-in microphone integrated into the earcup for phone calls and casual conversations.

Connectivity options include both low-latency 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth support. The included USB wireless dongle works with PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, while Bluetooth expands compatibility to smartphones and other mobile devices. Users can switch between the two wireless modes using the onboard controls, allowing the headset to move between gaming, music playback, voice calls, and Discord without reconnecting devices.

Glorious has also equipped the headset with physical controls located directly on the earcups. Dual metal rotary knobs allow users to adjust volume and game-to-chat audio balance, while additional buttons provide microphone mute, media playback, and wireless source switching. This eliminates the need to open software or adjust settings through external devices during gameplay.
The headset features height-adjustable earcups, memory foam ear cushions, and a suspension headband designed for long gaming sessions. Its reinforced construction is built to withstand daily use while remaining comfortable for players who wear glasses.

Software customization is available through Glorious CORE, where users can create custom equalizer profiles, select preset sound modes, monitor battery levels, adjust microphone volume, and fine-tune chat mix settings. Custom EQ profiles can also be saved directly to the headset, allowing users to carry their preferred audio settings across compatible devices without additional configuration.
