Nioh 3 Demo Launches January 29 on PS5 and PC With Save Transfer Support

KOEI TECMO and Team NINJA have announced that a new demo for Nioh 3 will be released on January 29, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. The announcement came during The Game Awards 2025 and brings the first opportunity for PC players to try the upcoming dark samurai action RPG. The previous demo was limited to PS5, but the new version expands access to a wider audience.

Players can experience the demo in solo mode or join up to three others in online multiplayer sessions. Cross-play between platforms is not supported, and this limitation will also apply to the full game. One key feature of the demo is that progress can be carried over to the full release, allowing players to continue their journey without losing any achievements or items earned during the trial.

Pre-orders for Nioh 3 are now available. The Standard Edition is priced at $79.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $119.99. The Deluxe Edition includes the Season Pass, which provides access to future downloadable content (DLC) and bonus items such as the Chijiko Netsuke Charm, the Infernal Weapons Set consisting of 14 weapon types, and the Kodama Netsuke Charm. The Season Pass will cover multiple DLC packs, including new stories, bosses, enemies, yokai, and additional equipment. Add-on DLC 1 is scheduled to release by the end of September 2026, with add-on DLC 2 expected by the end of February 2027.

In addition to the digital editions, physical collectors have several options. A SteelBook edition is available and includes the base game along with two exclusive DLC bonuses. Players can also pre-order the PS5-exclusive TREASURE BOX edition through the NIS America Store, which comes with collectibles such as a Scampuss Furball Netsuke Charm Keychain, a Nioh 3 original desk pad, an official artbook, and the Nioh 3 selection soundtrack CD.

Early purchasers of the game will receive additional bonus items. This includes armour sets inspired by the protagonists of previous titles, such as William’s Youngblood Armour (Samurai) from the original Nioh and Hide’s Lone Wolf’s Armour (Ninja) from Nioh 2. These sets can be obtained through the Hellfrost Armour Set early purchase bonus.

To encourage new players, a special promotion on Steam offers a 90% discount on Nioh: Complete Edition, providing a cost-effective way to explore the series from the beginning.

Nioh 3 is scheduled to launch on February 6, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Preview reports describe the game as a polished continuation of Team NINJA’s previous titles, focusing on smooth progression and avoiding sudden difficulty spikes. The combination of a demo with save transfer, multiple editions, and pre-order bonuses aims to engage both returning fans and new players ahead of its official release.
