Motorola launches Moto Buds 2 Plus with Bose-tuned audio, ANC, and AI features

Motorola has expanded its audio lineup in North America with the launch of the Moto Buds 2 Plus, a new pair of true wireless earbuds designed to deliver improved sound quality, stronger noise control, and deeper smart integration for everyday use. The launch strengthens Motorola’s connected ecosystem as the company continues to push into personal audio and AI-powered accessories.

The Moto Buds 2 plus are aimed at users who move between different environments throughout the day, including work, commuting, fitness, and home entertainment. The focus is on delivering a consistent audio performance while adapting to changing surroundings. Motorola has equipped the Moto Buds 2 Plus with Sound by Bose tuning, aiming to provide a balanced and detailed listening experience. The earbuds use 11mm dynamic drivers for deeper bass response, while Knowles balanced armature drivers handle higher frequencies for clearer vocals and instrument separation.

The earbuds also support Hi-Res Audio with LHDC codec, allowing high-resolution wireless playback on compatible devices. In addition, Spatial Audio support enhances the sense of depth and direction in supported content, making music, movies, and gaming more immersive. To reduce distractions, the Moto Buds 2 Plus feature Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which adjusts in real time based on surrounding noise levels. This helps users stay focused in busy environments such as public transport or crowded workspaces.

For voice calls, Motorola includes a six-microphone system with Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC). The setup is designed to reduce background interference and improve voice clarity during calls and virtual meetings. Through the Moto Buds app, users can also activate CrystalTalk AI, which applies additional noise reduction to enhance speech clarity in noisy settings.

The earbuds offer up to 9 hours of playback on a single charge, with a total battery life of up to 40 hours using the charging case. This makes them suitable for extended daily use without frequent charging. Connectivity features include Dual Connection, allowing users to stay paired with two devices at once and switch between them seamlessly. The Audio Share feature enables two sets of compatible earbuds to connect to one device for shared listening. Additional features, such as Wear Detection, automatically pause playback when the earbuds are removed, improving convenience during everyday use.

On compatible Motorola devices, users can access Moto AI features by pressing and holding the earbuds. These include notification summaries, meeting transcription tools, contextual reminders, and AI-based translation support on select models. The Moto Buds 2 plus in PANTONE Silhouette are available in the United States starting April 30 via Motorola’s official website, priced at $149.99 MSRP.
