MelGeek Launches Horus Gaming Mouse with PAW3950 Sensor and 8000Hz Wireless Polling

MelGeek has entered the competitive gaming mouse market with the release of the Horus Lightweight Esports Gaming Mouse. The announcement marks the company’s expansion beyond mechanical keyboards, a category where it recently introduced several hardware-focused products.

The Horus weighs approximately 49 grams and uses a closed-shell design without large honeycomb cutouts. MelGeek states that the internal frame has been engineered to maintain structural rigidity while keeping overall mass low. The mouse features a 50:50 weight distribution, a configuration intended to maintain consistent balance during rapid directional changes and controlled aiming movements.

The launch follows MelGeek’s recent activity in the keyboard segment. The company previously introduced the transparent MOJO keyboard and later unveiled the Centauri magnetic-switch keyboard in November 2025. The Centauri integrated a compact OLED display into its chassis, highlighting MelGeek’s focus on combining display technology and input hardware within a single device.

At the core of the Horus is the PixArt PAW3950 optical sensor. This flagship-grade sensor operates at a 20,000 FPS scan rate and captures up to 2,000 images per second. These specifications are designed to support high tracking accuracy during both fast flick shots and slower, fine-grained cursor adjustments. The sensor is paired with the Nordic NRF54L microcontroller, manufactured using a 22 nm process. The MCU handles input processing and wireless data transmission while maintaining energy efficiency.

The Horus supports a true 8000Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes. This capability is powered by MelGeek’s NullSync wireless technology, which is engineered to maintain stable transmission intervals even under fluctuating signal conditions. Based on the company’s internal testing, the mouse delivers latency as low as 0.20 ms in wireless mode and around 0.25 ms when connected via cable.

With the Horus, MelGeek positions itself in the performance-focused gaming mouse category, bringing its recent experience in high-integration keyboard design into a new hardware segment. Additional information regarding pricing, regional availability, and ordering options is available through the company’s official website.
