Maxsun has listed its MS-iCraft X870M motherboard on a Chinese retail platform, bringing the AMD X870-based model closer to consumers after its initial announcement in December. The micro-ATX motherboard is designed for AMD’s AM5 platform and supports Ryzen 7000, Ryzen 8000, and Ryzen 9000 series processors. The listing shows a retail price of 1999 RMB, which converts to roughly $280.

The MS-iCraft X870M targets enthusiasts who want modern connectivity in a compact motherboard layout. One of the more unusual elements in its design is a built-in color display placed directly on the board. The screen is intended to show system information or user-selected visual content. Motherboards with integrated displays have appeared in high-end models before, often used to display hardware statistics such as temperatures, fan speeds, and clock frequencies. Maxsun has not released detailed information about the software interface used for the display, so the exact level of customization remains unclear.
Memory support is handled through four DDR5 DIMM slots, allowing up to 192GB of system memory. According to Maxsun’s specifications, the board supports AMD EXPO memory profiles and memory overclocking speeds reaching DDR5-8400, depending on the processor and memory modules installed.

For storage, the motherboard provides three M.2 slots and two SATA 6Gbps ports. The primary M.2 slot connects directly to the CPU and supports PCIe 5.0 x4 (2280) SSDs, enabling higher storage bandwidth for compatible drives. The remaining two M.2 slots operate through the chipset and support PCIe 4.0 x4 (2280) SSDs. This setup allows multiple NVMe drives while still leaving room for additional SATA storage devices.
Networking options include 5GbE wired connectivity using the Realtek RTL8126 controller and Wi-Fi 7 support through the MediaTek MT7925 module, which also provides Bluetooth 5.4. The rear I/O panel features two USB4 Type-C ports with 40Gbps bandwidth, along with several USB 5Gbps and USB 2.0 ports. An internal header allows front-panel USB-C connectivity for compatible PC cases.

Maxsun has also included several hardware conveniences aimed at system builders. The motherboard features a quick-release mechanism for graphics cards, making GPU installation and removal easier. A rear-mounted Clear CMOS button allows quick BIOS resets without opening the case, while an EZ Wi-Fi antenna clip design simplifies attaching the wireless antenna.
The Maxsun MS-iCraft X870M is currently available for purchase in China through JD.com at 1999 RMB. Maxsun has not yet confirmed plans for availability in other regions.
