MAXSUN Launches MS-MoDT 230H D4 WIFI and 205H D4 WIFI Motherboards

MAXSUN has expanded its motherboard lineup with the launch of two new integrated CPU motherboards, the MS-MoDT 230H D4 WIFI and the MS-MoDT 205H D4 WIFI. The new models are designed for compact systems, including SFF PCs, workstations, industrial systems, and edge computing devices.

Both products use Intel mobile processors from the Raptor Lake-H family instead of the newer Arrow Lake platform. While the naming may suggest otherwise, the Core 7 230H and Core 5 205H processors are officially part of Intel’s Raptor Lake lineup.

The higher-end MS-MoDT 230H D4 WIFI comes equipped with the Intel Core 7 230H processor. This chip features a hybrid architecture with 10 cores and 16 threads, including six Performance cores and four Efficiency cores. The processor can reach boost clock speeds of up to 5.2GHz and carries 24MB of cache memory. Intel lists the processor with a 45W base TDP, while turbo power can scale up to 115W depending on workload and cooling conditions.

The MS-MoDT 205H D4 WIFI uses the Intel Core 5 205H processor. This model includes an 8-core, 12-thread configuration with four Performance cores and four Efficiency cores. The processor boosts up to 4.8GHz and includes 12MB of cache. Power specifications remain identical to the Core 7 variant with a 45W base power rating and a maximum turbo power of 115W.

In terms of motherboard specifications, both models use the Micro-ATX form factor, allowing them to fit into a wide range of compact PC cases. MAXSUN has equipped the boards with two DDR4 DIMM slots supporting up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory.

Storage support includes two SATA 3.0 ports along with dual M.2 M-Key slots compatible with both 2242 and 2280 SSDs. These options provide flexibility for users building compact productivity systems or storage-focused setups.

The MS-MoDT 230H D4 WIFI also includes several connectivity features aimed at modern desktop usage. These include Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.3, and a Realtek Gigabit Ethernet controller. The board additionally offers two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and four USB 2.0 ports for peripheral connectivity.

Integrated CPU motherboards continue to gain attention in the compact PC segment due to their lower power consumption and reduced space requirements compared to traditional desktop platforms. MAXSUN’s latest offerings appear to target users looking for a balance between performance, efficiency, and compact system design.
