Lost Soul Aside Reveals Weapon Options in New Trailer Ahead of August Release

Lost Soul Aside is set to launch later this month, and a new gameplay trailer has been released showcasing the different weapons and combat mechanics players can expect. The action RPG, developed by Yang Bing and his team, arrives on PC and PlayStation 5 on August 29, 2025.

The trailer highlights four weapon types. The sword delivers fast strikes, while the greatsword trades speed for heavier power. The poleblade focuses on rapid, piercing attacks, and the scythe emphasizes precision and control. A key feature is the ability to switch weapons during combos, letting players chain together attacks for more dynamic combat. Each weapon can also be upgraded with fragments found throughout the game, providing both visual changes and functional upgrades such as enhanced damage, healing effects, and expanded fighting styles.

Progression extends through a dedicated skill tree, where the main character, Kaser, gains new abilities with the help of Arena, a dragon-like companion. These skills include stronger attacks, defensive shields, and healing boosts. Additional mechanics, such as timed button inputs for high-damage strikes and the Fusion Gauge—used to summon Arena’s claws in battle—add more depth to combat encounters.

System requirements for the PC version have also been confirmed:

The official PC system requirements for Lost Soul Aside have been revealed, outlining the hardware needed to run the game across different presets, including ray tracing. For high settings without ray tracing, players will need at least an Intel Core i7-11700 or AMD Ryzen 7 5700X paired with an NVIDIA RTX 3070 or AMD RX 6800 XT, though the target resolution and framerate remain unspecified. Ray tracing significantly raises the bar, with an NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti listed for the Ultra Ray Tracing preset.

Alongside the requirements, the official PlayStation page confirms support for performance-enhancing technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR, as well as HDR and full DualSense controller functionality. Lost Soul Aside will release on PC and PlayStation 5 on May 30, though PC availability will be limited in regions without PlayStation Network access, despite PSN login no longer being mandatory.

Lost Soul Aside launches worldwide on August 29 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
