Lian Li has expanded its lineup of PC components with the launch of the SP Platinum Series, a new range of fully modular SFX power supplies designed for high-performance small-form-factor (SFF) systems. The series includes 850 W and 1000 W models, both of which carry 80 Plus Platinum certification, providing up to 92% efficiency under typical workloads.
The SP Platinum Series is built to meet modern hardware standards, including Intel ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1. Lian Li’s custom 12V-2×6 GPU cable, engineered in-house, ensures stable power delivery for high-end graphics cards. The cable uses alloy copper terminals for reduced resistance and higher thermal tolerance, while its dual-color design provides a clear visual guide for proper insertion.
Durability and reliability are key features of the series. Each unit is equipped with 100% Japanese 105°C capacitors and a comprehensive protection suite covering overcurrent, over/under-voltage, over-temperature, short-circuit, and other potential risks. The combination of high-quality components and safety measures ensures long-term stability and clean output, which is particularly important for compact builds where heat management can be challenging.
Quiet operation is another focus of the SP Platinum Series. The PSUs feature a 92 mm FDB fan with a smart thermal curve that allows the fan to remain off at loads of 40% or lower, effectively eliminating idle noise. Additionally, an included IEC 320 C14-to-C13 extension cord with an inline on/off switch allows users to control the power supply externally, a practical feature for systems installed in cases where rear AC access is limited.
Cable management is simplified with super-flexible, braided modular DC cables that can bend around components to reduce clutter and improve airflow. The series also includes an SFX-to-ATX bracket, enabling the power supply to fit standard ATX enclosures without modifications, which adds flexibility for builders who may want to upgrade or repurpose the PSU in different cases.
The SP Platinum Series is available in both black and white finishes and will launch on November 14, 2025.
