Lenovo Legion C700 Cloud Gaming Handheld Confirmed With 7.82-Inch 120Hz Display, Launch in August

Lenovo has officially introduced the Legion C700, a new Cloud Gaming Handheld that will launch in August. The device has been developed in close partnership with Tencent START Cloud Gaming, giving users access to a cloud-based gaming platform with support for hundreds of games. Instead of downloading and installing titles locally, players can stream supported games directly from the cloud, making it easier to start gaming with minimal setup.

According to Lenovo, the Legion C700 has been deeply customized for the Tencent START Cloud Gaming platform. The company says the service supports native controller input, allowing games to feel more like they would on a dedicated gaming console. This approach is intended to deliver a familiar gaming experience while reducing storage requirements, since game files do not need to be stored on the handheld itself.

The Legion C700 features a 7.82-inch IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing smoother visuals for supported games. Although Lenovo has not yet disclosed details such as the display resolution or the processor powering the handheld, the large screen is expected to provide a more comfortable viewing experience for cloud gaming sessions.

Lenovo has also equipped the handheld with several gaming-focused control features. The device uses TMR sensor joysticks, which are designed to offer improved precision and durability compared to traditional analog sticks. It also includes Hall effect linear triggers, helping reduce mechanical wear while maintaining consistent trigger performance during extended gameplay.

In addition to its main controls, the Legion C700 includes an omnidirectional D-Pad, a pair of customizable rear buttons, and an extra pair of customizable shoulder buttons. These additional inputs allow players to create custom control layouts for different game genres, whether they are playing competitive shooters, racing games, or action titles.

Key features of the Lenovo Legion C700 include:

  • 7.82-inch IPS LCD display
  • 120Hz refresh rate
  • Tencent START Cloud Gaming integration
  • Access to hundreds of cloud-supported games
  • Native controller support
  • TMR sensor joysticks
  • Hall effect linear triggers
  • Omnidirectional D-Pad
  • Two customizable rear buttons
  • Two customizable secondary shoulder buttons
  • Official launch scheduled for August

Cloud gaming continues to gain momentum as internet infrastructure improves and more publishers support game streaming services. Devices such as the Legion C700 are designed specifically for this growing market, focusing on streaming performance rather than running games locally. By partnering with Tencent START Cloud Gaming, Lenovo is positioning the handheld as a dedicated solution for users who want quick access to a large game library without waiting for downloads or updates.

Lenovo has not yet announced the Legion C700’s pricing, regional availability, or complete hardware specifications. More information is expected to be shared as the August launch approaches, including details about supported markets and the full technical specifications of the device.
