Tripwire Interactive has officially shared the PC system requirements for Killing Floor 3, set to release on July 24, 2025. The company also opened applications for a new Playtest, giving PC players an early opportunity to experience the upcoming co-op shooter.
Killing Floor 3 is the latest installment in the franchise and is set 70 years after the events of Killing Floor 2. The story unfolds in the year 2091, where Horzine, a powerful megacorporation, has deployed bioengineered creatures known as Zeds to enforce its control. Players take on the role of Nightfall specialists, a resistance group fighting to stop Horzine’s growing threat and prevent humanity’s destruction.

The game supports six-player cooperative gameplay and features crossplay across all platforms. Teams will face waves of increasingly aggressive Zeds in environments described as futuristic and war-torn. The developer promises that enemy AI has been overhauled, allowing Zeds to move more strategically, attack with improved coordination, and present a greater challenge compared to previous titles.
Tripwire also confirmed the return of the M.E.A.T. (Massive Evisceration and Trauma) System, which enhances visual effects during combat. This system allows for more detailed damage to enemies, along with persistent blood effects on surfaces, contributing to the game’s signature gore-filled battles.
