GravaStar Launched K98 PRO 98% Layout Keyboard with 8K Polling, TFT Screen, and Tri-Mode Connectivity

GravaStar has expanded its peripheral lineup with the launch of the K98 PRO, a new mechanical keyboard that continues the brand’s recognizable “bionic” design approach while focusing on performance-oriented upgrades for gaming and productivity users. The keyboard enters the market with a compact 98% layout, combining a reduced footprint with full key functionality, including a numpad, making it suitable for both gaming setups and professional workstations.

The design of the K98 PRO leans heavily into premium materials and customization. It comes equipped with an aluminum alloy chassis, providing a solid, durable structure, while PBT + PC dual-color keycaps enhance long-term wear resistance and light diffusion. The keyboard also features a hot-swappable PCB design, allowing users to change mechanical switches without soldering, which adds flexibility for enthusiasts who prefer to experiment with different switch types.

The integration of a 1.65-inch TFT color display with a 142×428 resolution allows the screen to be used for system monitoring, animations, or custom visual outputs, depending on software support. Alongside this, three-sided ARGB lighting adds additional customization options for users who prefer dynamic lighting setups.

GravaStar has also implemented a dual-mounting system, supporting both gasket and top-mount configurations. This allows users to fine-tune typing feedback and acoustics. The keyboard further includes a four-layer internal damping system, an FR4 copper-plated positioning plate, and a lower LED mounting design to improve both stability and typing sound profile.

Performance is a major focus for the K98 PRO, with support for an 8,000Hz polling rate across both USB-C wired and 2.4GHz wireless modes. The company claims wired latency as low as 0.1ms and wireless latency around 0.4ms, targeting competitive gaming scenarios where input response is critical.

Battery life is handled by a dual 4000mAh setup, delivering up to 228 hours of usage with lighting disabled and around 21 hours with RGB enabled, depending on usage conditions.

Key specifications include:

  • 98% compact layout with full function row and numpad
  • Aluminum alloy chassis construction
  • Hot-swappable mechanical switch support
  • Gasket and top-mount dual structure design
  • 1.65-inch TFT color display (142×428 resolution)
