GMKtec has introduced the NucBox K17, a compact mini PC powered by the Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor, based on the Lunar Lake architecture. The processor is manufactured using TSMC’s 3 nm process node and integrates 8 cores with a 2.1 GHz base clock, boosting up to 4.5 GHz on the performance cores.
The platform is designed to handle modern productivity workloads while also supporting on-device AI tasks, with a combined compute capability rated at 97 TOPS across the CPU, integrated graphics, and neural processing unit. The dedicated NPU contributes up to 40 TOPS, enabling acceleration for AI-assisted applications, image processing, and local inference workloads.

Graphics are powered by the Intel Arc 130V integrated GPU, clocked up to 1.85 GHz. The GPU supports hardware ray tracing and XeSS upscaling, allowing improved image quality and smoother frame delivery in supported titles and creative applications. Display connectivity includes dual HDMI ports along with a USB4 interface, enabling triple display output with resolutions reaching up to 8K depending on configuration. The USB4 port operates at 40 Gbps and supports power delivery, display output, and external GPU connectivity through a single cable, allowing additional graphics expansion if required.

The system includes 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 8533 MT/s. The memory is soldered, meaning upgrades are not supported after purchase. Storage is provided via a PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 SSD, available in 512 GB, 1 TB, or 2 TB capacities. A secondary M.2 slot supports PCIe Gen 5 x4 drives, allowing up to 16 TB of storage across both slots. SATA drives are not supported in this configuration.
Networking options include Wi-Fi 6E with speeds up to 2.4 Gbps, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port, all based on the Intel i226-V controller. The compact chassis measures 127.5 × 127 × 44.5 mm and weighs approximately 460 grams, making it suitable for space-constrained desk setups or mounting behind compatible displays. The system is powered using a 100 W external adapter.

The GMKtec NucBox K17 is currently available through the company’s global and UK storefronts. Pricing starts at $559.99 or £469.99 for the 16 GB memory and 512 GB storage configuration, while the 1 TB variant is listed at $619.99 or £519.99. A limited-launch discount of $15 or £15 is available with the code GMKK1715. The NucBox K17 enters the compact desktop segment, offering AI acceleration, modern connectivity standards, and next-generation Intel Arc graphics in a small form factor.
