Glacier Fresh has announced the release of the OSMOGO Outdoor RV Water Purifier, a portable reverse osmosis (RO) system designed to provide clean drinking water for RV travelers, van lifers, and off-grid explorers. The system addresses a long-standing concern for outdoor adventurers: the lack of reliable drinking water when relying on campground taps or natural sources such as rivers and lakes.
Water quality in mobile lifestyles can be unpredictable. Campground faucets may carry chlorine, sediment, or contaminants, while natural water sources often contain bacteria, heavy metals, and chemical runoff. Traditional RV Water filters are limited in what they can remove, and bottled water is not practical or sustainable for long-term use. The OSMOGO aims to solve this issue by introducing RO-level purification in a portable format built specifically for outdoor travel.
At its core, the OSMOGO uses a five-stage RO filtration process that eliminates up to 99 percent of impurities, including fluoride, nitrates, pesticides, bacteria, and viruses. The purifier measures 120 x 378 x 385 mm, compact enough for RV and van storage, and is reinforced with vibration-resistant construction to withstand travel conditions.
One of its key features is portability. The OSMOGO runs on a standard 24V DC adapter, allowing it to connect directly to power banks and mobile energy storage systems. This makes it suitable for remote areas where fixed power connections are unavailable. Setup is simplified with quick-connect fittings, and filter cartridges can be replaced without tools. Depending on the quality of the source water, the system’s filters last between 2,000 and 4,000 liters, typically six to twelve months of use.
By reducing reliance on bottled water, the OSMOGO provides long-term cost savings and lowers plastic waste, aligning with the sustainability values of many travelers.
