GameSir Introduces Tarantula 8K PC and Tarantula Pro Xbox Controllers With TMR Joysticks and High Polling Rates

GameSir has officially launched two new additions to its controller lineup in overseas markets: the Tarantula 8K PC Controller and the Tarantula Pro, designed for Xbox. Both models share a similar design language and feature set, but they are tuned for different platforms and performance priorities. The release continues GameSir’s focus on providing feature-rich controllers at an accessible price point, with both models positioned at $69.99.

The GameSir Tarantula 8K PC Controller is built with competitive PC gaming in mind. Its Controller feature supports an 8,000Hz polling rate, which allows for extremely frequent input reporting to the system. GameSir also claims a latency as low as 0.5ms, aiming to reduce input delay in fast-paced gameplay scenarios.

The controller features a second-generation TMR joystick system designed to minimize stick drift while delivering smooth and precise input. It also includes a six-axis gyroscope, enabling motion control on PC with full remapping support through GameSir’s Nexus software.

Additional input options include dual-mode triggers, allowing users to switch between micro-switch and Hall Effect analog trigger behavior depending on game type. The controller also integrates nine programmable macro buttons, giving players extended customization options for complex control setups. Despite its performance focus, the device remains lightweight at 180 grams, making it suitable for extended gaming sessions.

The Tarantula Pro for Xbox is designed for users who prefer console compatibility while still gaining access to advanced input features. It uses a first-generation TMR joystick system and supports a 1,000Hz polling rate, balancing responsiveness with platform stability. Like the PC version, it includes six-axis gyro support, dual-mode triggers, and nine remappable buttons. The controller is also compatible with the GameSir Nexus software, allowing users to adjust button mapping, macros, and sensitivity settings. The Xbox variant is slightly heavier at 235 grams, giving it a more substantial feel in hand during longer play sessions.

Both controllers feature an updated ergonomic shell designed for improved grip comfort. GameSir’s Mag-Res TMR stick technology is used across both models to reduce stick drift and improve long-term durability. They also include mechanical D-pad input and micro-switch ABXY buttons, which are intended to provide faster response times compared to traditional membrane designs. These features make the controllers suitable for genres that demand quick inputs, including shooters and fighting games.

Both the Tarantula 8K PC and Tarantula Pro Xbox controllers are priced at $69.99, positioning them in the mid-range segment despite offering features often found in higher-priced models. With this launch, GameSir continues to expand its presence in the PC and console controller market, focusing on performance-focused hardware with broad customization options.
