GameSir has expanded its mobile gaming lineup with the launch of the G8+ MFi, a Type-C controller designed for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices. The controller carries official MFi certification, ensuring compatibility with Apple hardware, while also supporting a wide range of Android smartphones and tablets. The G8+ MFi is now available through the GameSir official website and major retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Newegg, eBay, and AliExpress.
The G8+ MFi features GameSir’s movable Type-C connector, allowing users to connect their devices directly for a low-latency experience. The plug-and-play design removes the need for pairing or charging the controller separately. Pass-through charging support allows users to keep their devices powered during gameplay, which is useful for longer sessions. With support for devices up to 215 mm in length, the controller can accommodate many phones and tablets, including the iPad mini.
In terms of design, the controller adopts a gray-and-white color scheme with a clean, minimal look. The full-size layout is paired with laser-textured grips, which are designed to improve handling and reduce fatigue during extended use. The overall form factor is intended to replicate the feel of a traditional console controller while remaining suitable for mobile and tablet gaming.
Hardware features include full-size GameSir Hall Effect analog sticks, offering smooth movement and long-term durability. The Hall Effect analog triggers provide consistent input for genres such as racing and shooters. Two rear buttons are also included, with single-button remapping support to help users simplify control schemes and react more quickly in-game.
For feedback, the G8+ MFi integrates dual asymmetric vibration motors into the grips. These motors deliver varying levels of vibration based on in-game actions. The membrane-based ABXY buttons are rated for up to two million clicks, while the D-pad uses tactile switches for precise directional input, making it suitable for both action and platform-style games.
Customization is another focus of the G8+ MFi. The controller includes a magnetic detachable faceplate, allowing users to change ABXY button layouts or thumbsticks. Software support through the GameSir app enables firmware updates, dead zone adjustments, vibration tuning, and button testing. Some settings can also be adjusted through button combinations without opening the app.
With Type-C connectivity, cross-platform support, and a focus on customization, the GameSir G8+ MFi is positioned as a dedicated controller option for users who game across iOS and Android devices.
