GameMax Unveils GS SFX Gold Series Power Supply Units with ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 Standards

December 11, 2024

GameMax has introduced the GS SFX Gold Series power supply units (PSUs), marking a significant addition to the PC gaming components market. Designed to meet the latest ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 standards, these PSUs feature native 12V-2×6 connectors tailored for NVIDIA RTX graphics cards, providing compatibility with next-generation systems. The GS SFX Gold Series is offered in 650 W, 750 W, and 850 W variants, with both black and white color options to complement different PC builds.

The GS SFX Gold Series incorporates a sophisticated circuit architecture, including Active Power Factor Correction (PFC), Half-Bridge LLC Resonance, Synchronous Rectification, and DC-DC topology. These features ensure robust power delivery, particularly to the +12V rail, which is critical for modern GPUs. To enhance efficiency and thermal performance, the PSUs are equipped with an FMD-F161E131B microcontroller that intelligently manages fan operation. The stop/start function enables the fan to cease operation under 20% load, achieving silent 0 dBA performance during low power consumption.

The PSUs are certified 80 Plus Gold, achieving conversion efficiency levels exceeding 90%. This high efficiency reduces energy waste, promotes system stability, and contributes to lower operational costs.

The GS SFX Gold Series utilizes premium 105°C-rated Japanese capacitors for reliable and consistent power delivery. These components are built to ensure long-term stability and durability, making them ideal for demanding applications.

The units are equipped with a low-noise Hydraulic Bearing (HDB) fan, engineered for extended durability and resistance to high temperatures. With a lifespan of up to 40,000 hours, the fan maintains optimal thermal performance while minimizing noise.

Available in both black and white finishes, the GS SFX Gold Series offers builders the flexibility to match their PSU with the aesthetic of their PC build. The fully modular design reduces cable clutter, while the 12V-2×6 cable includes a 90° angled connector for easier cable management.

To safeguard systems against electrical faults, the GS SFX Gold Series includes multiple protective mechanisms: Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Over Power Protection (OPP), Over Current Protection (OCP), Short Circuit Protection (SCP), Over Temperature Protection (OTP), and Surge and Inrush Protection (SIP). The units also adhere to international safety standards and certifications, including CB, TÜV, CE, and FCC compliance.

The GameMax GS SFX Gold Series PSUs are now available in the following configurations:

  • GS-650G SFX Gold: $114.29 (black), $116.29 (white)
  • GS-750G SFX Gold: $127.69 (black), $129.69 (white)
  • GS-850G SFX Gold: $140.99 (black), $142.99 (white)

Each unit comes with a 5-year warranty, offering peace of mind for consumers. Additional product details and purchase options can be found on the official GameMax product page.
