Gamakay Launches GX1 and GX1 Pro Gaming Mice with PAW3950 Sensor and Dual Batteries

If you have been looking for a lightweight wireless gaming mouse without spending $100 or more, GamaKay’s GX1 Series is currently worth a look. The GX1 and GX1 Pro combine a 55g-class body with 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, USB-C connectivity, and silent main switches, while the Pro model adds a higher-end sensor and 8K polling support. GamaKay lists the series at $23.99, down from the listed $49.99 price, making the deal considerably more interesting for gamers shopping on a budget.

The GX1 uses PixArt’s PAW3311 sensor with up to 12,000 DPI, while the GX1 Pro upgrades to the PAW3950, offering up to 30,000 DPI, 750 IPS tracking, and 50G acceleration. The Pro model also supports polling rates of up to 8,000Hz over 2.4GHz wireless or USB-C, compared with 1,000Hz on the standard GX1.

Both mice weigh around 55g and use TTC silent switches for the primary buttons. That combination should appeal to gamers who prefer quieter clicks, especially when the same mouse is also used for work or general desktop use. The GX1 series supports seven buttons and can switch between 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB-C connections.

GamaKay is also taking a different approach to battery management. Instead of relying on a built-in battery, both models come with two replaceable 300mAh batteries. One can power the mouse while the other charges in the dock, allowing users to swap batteries when needed rather than stopping to connect a charging cable.

The GX1 Pro also includes a more advanced charging dock with a small front display that can show information such as DPI, polling rate, lift-off distance, and connection mode. The standard GX1’s dock doubles as a 2.4GHz receiver extender.

Settings can be configured through GamaKay’s GearHub software, while the package includes the mouse, charging dock, two batteries, wireless receiver, USB-C cable, and grip tape. With the current $23.99 listed price, the GX1 Pro is particularly interesting for buyers who want features normally associated with more expensive lightweight gaming mice without moving into the three-figure price range.
