Dareu has introduced the FLEX 87, a new tri-mode mechanical keyboard that targets gamers and keyboard enthusiasts looking for a compact tenkeyless (80%) layout with modern gaming features. The new model combines a redesigned internal structure with high-speed connectivity, aiming to deliver a softer typing experience while maintaining responsive performance for competitive gaming.
The biggest changes in the FLEX 87 are its air suspension and silicone cloud-wheel structure. Unlike a traditional gasket-mounted keyboard, Dareu says this design works alongside a PC positioning plate and multi-layer damping filler to create a softer, more elastic typing feel. The suspension system is designed to absorb impact during key presses, resulting in a cushioned and more consistent typing experience.

On the design side, the keyboard includes a skyline-style ARGB light strip that runs across the front edge of the chassis, adding ambient lighting without changing the compact footprint. The FLEX 87 also comes equipped with PBT double-shot keycaps, which are more resistant to wear and shine than standard ABS keycaps, making them better suited for long-term daily use.
For connectivity, the keyboard supports tri-mode operation, allowing users to switch between wired USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth modes. When connected through USB-C or the 2.4GHz wireless receiver, the FLEX 87 supports an 8,000Hz polling rate, reducing input latency for competitive gaming scenarios.

Dareu has also included SOCD (Simultaneous Opposite Cardinal Directions) functionality, an advanced feature that helps handle opposite-direction inputs. This function has become increasingly common in gaming-focused keyboards, particularly for players who participate in competitive titles that require fast directional changes and precise movement.
