Colorful has announced the launch of the Huanxi RP600X PRO solid-state flash drive, a new portable storage device aimed at users who require fast data transfer and broad device compatibility. The RP600X PRO combines dual USB interfaces with a durable metal design, positioning it as a compact solution for daily file transfers and backup tasks.
The RP600X PRO supports the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard, offering a maximum read speed of up to 1000MB/s. To improve compatibility across different platforms, Colorful has integrated both USB-A and USB-C connectors directly into the drive. Each connector is placed on opposite sides, allowing the device to connect directly to desktops, laptops, and newer mobile devices without the need for additional adapters.
Internally, the drive uses a high-performance controller along with quality flash memory chips to maintain stable performance during large file transfers. Colorful has also focused on thermal management by using a full zinc alloy die-cast chassis with embedded heat sinks. This design helps dissipate heat during extended use, which can be important for sustained read and write workloads.
From a design perspective, the RP600X PRO follows a circular visual theme. The exterior combines a black base with orange accents inspired by cosmic elements, while straight lines and circular details reference gravitational motion. The connector switching mechanism uses a three-stage push-pull structure, allowing users to change interfaces smoothly while keeping the unused connector protected.
At launch, the Colorful RP600X PRO is available only in a 1TB capacity. The official price is set at 799 yuan, which converts to approximately USD 110 based on current exchange rates. The product is covered by a 3-year warranty.
