CHUWI has officially unveiled the UniBook, a new budget-focused laptop built around Intel’s Wildcat Lake Core 3 304 processor. The launch positions the device as one of the first systems to feature Intel’s Core Series 3 chip based on the Intel 18A process, aiming at students, young professionals, and small business users who need long battery life and practical performance without a high price tag. The laptop starts at an estimated $449, placing it in direct competition with entry-level ultrabooks and lightweight productivity machines.
The UniBook is powered by the Intel Core 3 304 processor, featuring a 5-core, 5-thread configuration with boost speeds of up to 4.30 GHz. It is not aimed at heavy gaming or intensive creative workloads, but instead focuses on everyday computing tasks like document editing, web browsing, video playback, and light multitasking. CHUWI combines this processor with 8 GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 256 GB PCIe 3.0 SSD, which is sufficient for general productivity use.
Battery life is one of the key highlights of the UniBook. CHUWI claims the 53.38 Wh battery can deliver between 15 and 20 hours of usage depending on workload and system settings. This puts the device among the more efficient options in its price category, especially for users who need all-day performance for study or office work without frequent charging.
The laptop features a 14-inch IPS display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and full 100% sRGB coverage. The 16:10 aspect ratio provides additional vertical space, which is useful for productivity tasks like writing, spreadsheets, and coding. Color accuracy support also makes it more suitable for light creative work compared to typical budget panels.
