CHERRY has officially announced a new collaboration with the Pokémon IP, introducing a Ditto-themed lineup of PC peripherals. The first products confirmed under this partnership include a gaming keyboard and a desktop mousepad, aimed at users looking for themed hardware without moving away from performance-focused designs.
The main product in the series is the CHERRY XTRFY MX 8.2 Pro Hybrid keyboard. This model uses a hybrid switch layout that combines mechanical and magnetic switch technologies on a single board. CHERRY confirmed that the primary alphanumeric keys are fitted with mechanical switches, while the WASD cluster and control keys use magnetic switches designed for faster response and adjustable actuation behavior.
The magnetic switch section supports rapid trigger functionality with actuation precision down to 0.01mm. The keyboard also features an 8kHz polling rate, reducing input latency for competitive gaming scenarios. Power is supplied by an integrated 8000mAh battery, allowing wireless operation while maintaining high polling performance.
Another feature of the MX 8.2 Pro Hybrid is support for interchangeable switches in supported zones. This allows users to replace switches based on personal preference or usage patterns, extending the keyboard’s flexibility beyond fixed layouts.
Although the collaboration is branded around Ditto, the design incorporates elements from multiple Pokémon characters. The color scheme combines light purple tones commonly associated with Ditto with yellow accents inspired by Pikachu. This blended approach gives the keyboard a distinct look while staying within the Pokémon theme.
In addition to the keyboard, CHERRY confirmed a matching Ditto-themed desktop mousepad. Technical details for the mousepad have not yet been disclosed, but it is expected to complement the keyboard visually.
CHERRY has not shared pricing, release dates, or regional availability for the Pokémon collaboration products. More information is expected in future announcements.
