CHERRY has introduced the MX10.1 FOR MAC, a low-profile mechanical keyboard designed for users who want a premium wireless keyboard that fits into the Apple Mac ecosystem. The new model combines a slim CNC-machined aluminum body with tri-mode connectivity, high polling rates, a built-in LCD color display, and a large battery designed for extended use.

The MX10.1 FOR MAC uses a high-strength aluminum alloy shell produced through CNC precision machining. The keyboard measures just 9mm at its thinnest point, while its 180-mesh anodized surface is designed to provide a durable finish that is less prone to showing fingerprints. The design keeps the keyboard relatively slim without moving away from the solid construction expected from a premium mechanical keyboard.
- CNC-machined aluminum alloy body
- 9mm thickness at the thinnest point
- 180-mesh anodized surface
- CHERRY MX-LP Red V2 low-profile switches
- PBT dye-sublimated keycaps
- Inner cotton and PORON base cotton for sound dampening
For connectivity, the keyboard supports Bluetooth, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB wired modes. Users can switch between devices with a single click, making the MX10.1 FOR MAC suitable for setups that include a Mac, laptop, tablet, or other compatible devices.
CHERRY has also focused on input performance. The keyboard supports an 8,000Hz polling rate in wired mode and up to 4,000Hz over wireless, reducing the time between key inputs being registered and processed. This gives the keyboard specifications that should also appeal to gamers, although its Mac-focused design is aimed primarily at productivity and everyday use.

A smart control knob and LCD color screen are included on the keyboard. The display can show information such as battery status and connection mode, while users can adjust lighting and screen-off settings without installing dedicated software. Custom standby wallpapers are also supported.
The MX10.1 FOR MAC uses a 4,000mAh battery with a claimed battery life of up to 800 hours. Its power management system can automatically put the keyboard into sleep mode when it is not being used. CHERRY says the keyboard can wake from sleep in around 0.3 seconds.

Customization is handled through a web browser, eliminating the need for an additional desktop application. Users can change lighting settings, remap buttons, and adjust other supported functions through a browser, with Chrome and Edge recommended for the configuration interface.
The keyboard also has hidden adjustable feet with a stepless adjustment mechanism. This allows users to change the typing angle while keeping the adjustment hardware integrated into the keyboard’s overall design.
