BenQ has officially introduced the BenQ MA270S, a new 27-inch 5K monitor designed specifically for Mac users who require high pixel density, accurate color reproduction, and seamless macOS integration. The MA270S joins the company’s Mac-focused MA lineup, which already includes models such as the BenQ MA270U, BenQ MA270UP, BenQ MA320U, and BenQ MA320UP. With a native resolution of 5120 x 2880, the MA270S is built to match macOS scaling for sharper text rendering and detailed visuals comparable to a MacBook display.

The MA270S features a Nano Gloss panel that aims to deliver clarity and contrast similar to Apple’s display finish. The panel supports up to 500 nits of brightness, covers 99% of the P3 color gamut, and offers a 2000:1 contrast ratio. This combination is intended for professionals working with photo editing, video production, graphic design, and software development, where color consistency and text sharpness are critical. By aligning with macOS native pixel density, the display is designed to reduce scaling artifacts and maintain crisp typography across applications.

BenQ integrates its proprietary Mac Color technologies to improve compatibility with macOS devices. Through Display Pilot 2 software, users can access iKeyboard Control, which allows brightness and volume adjustments directly from a connected MacBook keyboard. Additional features include Auto Brightness Sync, which mirrors macOS’ automatic brightness behavior, FocuSync for window-based brightness adjustments, and iDevice Color Sync to maintain consistent color output across multiple Apple devices. According to Jeffrey Hsieh, Head of the Consumer Line of Business at BenQ, the MA270S was developed to provide Mac users with a display that integrates naturally into their existing workflow.

Connectivity is centered around Thunderbolt 4, with up to 96W power delivery for single-cable charging and display output. The monitor also includes a Thunderbolt 4 output port for daisy-chaining a second display. Smart KVM functionality enables users to control two connected systems with a single keyboard and mouse, while Picture-by-Picture support allows simultaneous viewing of multiple input sources. These features are designed to support workflows involving devices such as MacBook, Mac mini, Mac Studio, iMac, and iPad.
The BenQ MA270S will be available starting March 2026 through BenQ’s official website, Amazon, Adorama, B&H Photo Video, and select retail partners at an MSRP of $999. During the pre-order period, customers purchasing a second unit will receive a 20% discount, and the same promotion applies to the company’s 5K designer monitor, the PD2730S.
