ASUS has officially announced its latest addition to the ROG lineup, the ROG NUC 2025, a high-performance compact desktop designed for gamers and creators. Although it was absent from ASUS’ CES 2025 showcase, the details reveal an impressive combination of cutting-edge components and thoughtful design improvements.

The ROG NUC 2025 is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 Series 200HX processors, with the potential availability of a Core Ultra 7 200HX SKU. On the graphics front, the system features NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, equipped with 16 GB of GDDR7 memory. The compact unit supports up to 96 GB of DDR5-6400 memory via two SO-DIMM slots and offers expandable storage of up to 2 TB through an M.2 SSD slot.
The device includes a robust array of connectivity options. It comes equipped with a Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 10 Gbps Type-A ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port, two DisplayPort 2.1 outputs, and two HDMI 2.1 ports.

The ROG NUC 2025 introduces a redesigned cooling system to handle its powerful hardware. It features a triple-fan setup, a dual vapor chamber for enhanced heat dissipation, and dedicated heatsinks for both memory and SSD components. This design reportedly delivers a cooling capacity of up to 135 W for the CPU, ensuring stable performance under demanding workloads.
The system is housed in a compact 3-liter chassis measuring 282.4 x 187.7 x 56.5 mm, with a bottom depth of 146 mm. ASUS has also integrated an upgraded, tool-free chassis system, making component upgrades more convenient for users. A refined aesthetic adds to the overall appeal, complementing its performance-focused design.

While ASUS has confirmed the ROG NUC 2025 will launch in the first quarter of 2025, the company has not disclosed pricing details. Given its high-end specifications, the system is likely to carry a premium price tag.
The new ROG NUC marks another step forward in compact computing, offering a balance of performance and versatility in a small form factor.
