ASUS is pushing the traditional charger dock into much higher power territory with the newly announced ROG Flux Charger Dock. Designed to handle an entire gaming or desktop setup through a compact hub, the new ROG accessory offers up to 260W of total power delivery, including up to 140W for a connected laptop, alongside HDMI 2.1 and multiple USB ports.
The announcement, made on August 24, 2026, positions the ROG Flux Charger Dock as more than a simple USB-C charger. ASUS says the dock is designed to power a laptop while leaving enough capacity for additional hardware such as a gaming handheld, smartphone, headset, keyboard, and other peripherals.
At the center of the setup is a single-cable connection to the main device. The rear USB-C connection supports up to 140W of power delivery and USB 3.2 Gen 2 data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps. For users connecting an external display, the dock also includes a full-size HDMI 2.1 port capable of supporting resolutions up to 4K at 144Hz, assuming the connected device and display support the required specifications.
The charging modes are intended to adjust how the available power is distributed. Priority Mode reserves up to 140W for the primary connected device, while Dual Laptop Mode can supply up to 100W to two devices simultaneously. Smart Mode automatically manages power allocation, while Silent Mode focuses on reducing operating noise. Fan Turbo Mode increases cooling by running the internal fan at maximum speed.
ASUS has also added a 1.9-inch LCD screen to the front of the dock. It can display information including real-time charging rates and file transfer speeds. A physical control knob allows users to switch modes and change settings directly on the device, removing the need to open additional software for basic controls. RGB lighting, ROG-themed screensavers, and custom animations are also supported.
The ROG Flux Charger Dock is a significant step up in capability compared with ASUS’ earlier ROG Gaming Charger Dock products. The older model offered 65W charging and HDMI 2.0 with support for up to 4K at 60Hz, while ASUS also offers a 100W Gaming Charger Dock with similar HDMI 2.0 display limits. The new Flux model raises total power capacity to 260W, adds a 140W USB-C connection, and moves to HDMI 2.1 with 4K 144Hz support.
The result is a dock aimed at users who want to reduce cable clutter around a gaming laptop or other USB-C device while keeping a monitor and several accessories connected. The 260W total power budget could also make it useful for multi-device setups where a laptop, handheld, and peripherals all need power at the same time.
