Angry Miao Introduces AM Infinity .100 R2 With 49g Magnesium Body, PAW3955 Sensor and Hot-Swappable Battery

Angry Miao has introduced the AM Infinity .100 R2, a new wireless gaming mouse featuring a 49g magnesium-alloy construction, PixArt PAW3955 optical sensor, and an 8,000Hz polling rate. The updated model builds on the original AM Infinity .100 with improvements to its wireless controller, battery efficiency, PCB protection, and customization options. It retains the full-bodied shape of its predecessor, measuring 118 × 64.4 × 39.5mm, while keeping its weight low for gamers who prefer lightweight peripherals without sacrificing palm support.

The AM Infinity .100 R2 uses Angry Miao’s second-generation AM Real8K Engine V2 controller alongside the PAW3955 sensor. It supports up to 30,000 DPI sensitivity and tracking speeds of 750 IPS, with native 8K polling. According to Angry Miao, the updated controller reduces power consumption by 40% compared with its industry-reference solution and improves battery life by 80% over the previous generation. The company claims more than 30 hours of continuous operation at 8K polling, although actual battery life will depend on settings and usage.

The mouse features a magnetic hot-swappable battery system with a 340mAh battery that can be replaced in approximately 1.2 seconds. Users can swap batteries without interrupting their gaming sessions or waiting for a recharge. The wireless receiver also doubles as a charging dock for the spare battery, while the mouse automatically reconnects via its 2.4GHz wireless connection after each battery replacement, according to Angry Miao.

The mouse supports 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired USB-C connectivity. It uses TTC Orange Dot optical switches for the main buttons and includes dedicated controls for DPI and polling-rate adjustments. A physical mode-switching button on the underside lets users switch between gaming and power-saving profiles.

The company has also upgraded the PCB’s Nano Waterproof Coating Plus protection to help protect against sweat, moisture, and accidental spills. Angry Miao claims the mouse remained operational during a controlled 10-minute water-immersion test, though this doesn’t mean it is designed for regular water exposure.

Customization is another part of the R2’s design. Angry Miao provides an open-source ecosystem of 3D-printable grip accessories, along with its MouseKeeper tool, which recommends compatible accessories based on users’ grip preferences. The company describes its Infinity Mouse design as:

“Ridiculously lightweight, extremely precise, and engineered down to the smallest detail.”

The Angry Miao AM Infinity .100 R2 is listed at $159, compared with its regular price of $169. It comes in Neon Rosa, Cloud White, and Basalt Black finishes.
