Anbernic has unveiled a teaser for its new RG Vita/RG Vita Pro handheld gaming console, designed to resemble the iconic PlayStation Vita from 2011. The device aims to combine the nostalgic design of the original handheld with modern hardware features suited for portable gaming enthusiasts.
The front of the RG Vita/Pro features a symmetrical dual-joystick setup, reminiscent of traditional console layouts. The buttons and triggers are arranged to support extended gaming sessions, while the top edge houses L2 and R2 triggers for additional control options. The back of the console incorporates ergonomic grip grooves to improve comfort and active fan cooling vents to help manage heat during longer play sessions.

Although full specifications have not yet been revealed, Anbernic confirmed that the handheld will be powered by a 5000 mAh battery, capable of supporting up to 10W wired charging. Details regarding the processor, display resolution, storage options, or software compatibility remain unavailable, though enthusiasts expect updates in the coming weeks.

The RG Vita/Pro is expected to appeal to players who enjoy handheld gaming with precise control inputs and a portable design. By drawing inspiration from the PlayStation Vita, Anbernic appears to target both retro gaming fans and those looking for a compact, modern handheld console.
Further announcements from the company are anticipated to include full hardware specifications, pricing, and release dates. As Anbernic continues to expand its lineup of portable consoles, the RG Vita/Pro may represent a significant addition for the handheld gaming community.
