Akko has officially introduced the FUNBOX, a new Arcade Controller designed for competitive gaming and fighting game enthusiasts. The latest addition to the company’s gaming lineup combines magnetic switch technology, high-speed input performance, and a customizable design aimed at players seeking precise control during gameplay.
The Akko FUNBOX is built around Kailh low-profile magnetic switches and supports an 8,000Hz polling rate alongside a 50,000Hz scan rate. According to Akko, the controller is capable of delivering Rapid Trigger accuracy down to 0.005mm, allowing inputs to activate and reset with exceptional precision. This feature is becoming increasingly popular among players who require fast reactions and accurate movement inputs in competitive titles.

In terms of design, the FUNBOX features a 17-button gaming layout accompanied by six additional system control buttons. Akko has also integrated a multifunction aluminum knob on the side of the controller, providing quick access to settings and navigation functions. A built-in 2.0-inch full-color LCD screen offers additional functionality, allowing users to monitor and adjust settings directly from the device.

The controller uses a hot-swappable PCB, making it easy for users to replace switches without soldering. Out of the box, the FUNBOX comes equipped with Kailh Star Mini low-profile magnetic switches, but it also supports a range of other Kailh low-profile mechanical switches for users who want to customize the feel of their controls.
