February 7, 2025

Acer has introduced the latest additions to its Predator Helios Neo lineup—the Predator Helios Neo 16 AI and Predator Helios Neo 18 AI gaming laptops. These new models are equipped with cutting-edge hardware, including up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU, built to deliver powerful gaming performance with AI-powered enhancements.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs, based on the Blackwell architecture, provide exceptional graphical capabilities. These GPUs utilize NVIDIA DLSS 4 for real-time AI-driven upscaling, boosting frame rates and enhancing image quality. Advanced ray tracing is enabled by 4th-generation RT Cores, and NVIDIA Studio support allows content creators to harness high-performance computing power for rendering and design tasks. Additionally, NVIDIA NIM microservices enable accelerated AI applications for game developers and productivity users.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI features a 16-inch OLED WQXGA (2560×1600) display with a 240 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time, delivering vivid colors and deep contrast. The Predator Helios Neo 18 AI, on the other hand, is equipped with an 18-inch Mini LED WQXGA panel, offering a higher 250 Hz refresh rate and a 3 ms response time. Both displays support NVIDIA G-SYNC, NVIDIA Advanced Optimus, and a MUX Switch for seamless switching between discrete and integrated graphics, optimizing power consumption and performance.

Acer has incorporated robust cooling solutions to maintain peak performance. Both laptops feature Acer’s 5th Gen AeroBlade 3D fans, liquid metal thermal grease for superior heat transfer, and a Vector Heat Pipe system that efficiently dissipates heat. These innovations ensure stable performance even under heavy workloads. The PredatorSense 5.0 software allows users to monitor system performance, customize cooling settings, and adjust RGB lighting for a personalized gaming experience.

For audio and communication, the Predator Helios Neo AI series includes Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 technology, featuring a triple microphone array and AI-driven noise reduction to minimize background noise during voice chats and streaming. Acer PurifiedView 2.0 enhances video quality for streaming and virtual meetings by optimizing brightness and clarity in real-time.

Connectivity options are designed for seamless online gaming and content creation. Both models are equipped with Intel Killer Ethernet E3100G and Wi-Fi 6E for low-latency, high-speed internet connections. They also support up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage, providing ample resources for gaming, streaming, and multitasking.

The Predator Helios Neo 16 AI (PHN16-73) will be available in North America in April, starting at $1,899.99, and in EMEA in May at €1,699. The Predator Helios Neo 18 AI (PHN18-72) will launch in North America in May at $2,199.99 and in EMEA in June at €1,799. With these latest gaming laptops, Acer continues to push the boundaries of performance and innovation for gamers and creators.
