TeamGroup has introduced its ACE 8K MicroSDXC memory card, designed for content creators who need reliable storage for high-resolution video recording. The new memory card targets demanding imaging applications, including 8K video capture and 4K recording at 120 FPS, with sustained write performance intended to help prevent recording interruptions during extended shooting sessions.
The TeamGroup ACE 8K delivers read speeds of up to 160 MB/s and write speeds of up to 110 MB/s. It carries UHS Speed Class 3 (U3) and Video Speed Class 30 (V30) ratings, with V30 guaranteeing a minimum sustained write speed of 30 MB/s under applicable conditions. Actual recording capabilities will depend on the camera, video bitrate, recording format, and device compatibility.
TeamGroup has tested the ACE 8K MicroSDXC card with the DJI Avata 360 drone and DJI Osmo Action 6 action camera. These compatibility tests highlight its intended use in aerial photography, action footage, and other video recording applications that require consistent storage performance. The company also points to advances in video compression, which can help reduce storage requirements while maintaining image quality in high-resolution footage.
The ACE 8K will be available in capacities ranging from 128GB to 1TB, allowing users to choose a model based on their storage needs. TeamGroup has also equipped the card with protection against water, dust, shock, electrostatic discharge, X-rays, and extreme temperatures, making it suitable for use in a variety of shooting environments.
TeamGroup plans to launch the ACE 8K MicroSDXC memory card in early November 2026, with initial availability through Amazon in North America and Japan. Pricing has not yet been announced, and the company has not confirmed availability in other markets. Further details are expected through TeamGroup’s official distribution channels.
