Keychron Launches J3 SE Keyboard in Pink and Blue Pink Colors

Keychron has introduced Pink and Blue Pink color options for its J3 SE wireless mechanical keyboard, bringing pastel designs to its 96% keyboard lineup. Priced at $129.99, the J3 SE combines a dedicated number pad, tri-mode connectivity, customizable RGB lighting, and QMK firmware. It also features Keychron Sakura Milk linear switches and a 4,000mAh battery.

The new versions use an ABS case, with different keycap combinations for each colorway. The Pink model features white, light pink, and salmon-pink keycaps, while the Blue Pink version combines white, pink, and blue. Both keyboards come with double-shot PBT keycaps in the MDA profile and a large control knob in the upper-right corner, above the number pad.

The 96% layout retains a dedicated number pad, including a full-size zero key, while reducing the keyboard’s overall footprint compared with a conventional full-size model. Keychron has also included north-facing RGB backlighting, which can improve compatibility with certain shine-through keycaps, depending on their construction.

Under the keycaps, the J3 SE uses pre-lubricated Keychron Sakura Milk linear switches. These switches have a 35 gf actuation force, a 2 mm actuation point, and 3.6 mm of total travel. Their POM stems and top housings are designed to provide smooth key movement, although the typing experience will also depend on the keyboard’s overall construction.

Connectivity options include 2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.2, and a wired USB Type-C connection. The 2.4 GHz mode supports a polling rate of up to 1,000 Hz, making it suitable for everyday use and gaming. Users can switch to Bluetooth for compatible devices or connect the keyboard directly through USB.

The J3 SE’s 4,000mAh battery is rated for up to 2,000 hours of use under Keychron’s stated conditions. With RGB lighting enabled at its lowest brightness, the company estimates up to 106 hours of battery life. Actual runtime will vary according to lighting settings and connection mode.

Keychron has also included two-stage flip-out feet, allowing users to select typing angles of 4.5, 6.4, or 8.7 degrees. QMK firmware provides further customization through Keychron Launcher, a browser-based tool that supports key remapping, macros, sleep settings, and backlight adjustments.

The Keychron J3 SE is listed on the company’s official website for $129.99. The new Pink and Blue versions offer additional color choices for buyers looking for a compact mechanical keyboard with a number pad, wireless connectivity, and extensive customization options.
