Corsair is pushing its HS80 gaming headset line further with the new HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS, a high-end wireless headset built around upgraded 50 mm drivers, a broadcast-grade microphone, dual wireless connectivity, and up to 110 hours of battery life. The company is also targeting competitive players who rely on subtle audio cues, with the new driver design intended to keep footsteps, reloads, and other quieter sounds easier to pick out after loud effects.

The HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS uses 50 mm non-Newtonian laminate drivers that Corsair says can reduce residual vibration in the diaphragm after loud sounds such as explosions and gunshots. The diaphragm can settle more quickly, helping quieter details remain clearer as the action continues. Corsair says this tuning delivers strong bass, crisp highs, and full-range audio without losing the smaller cues that can matter during competitive gameplay.
“We tuned HS80 v2 MAX to highlight footsteps and cut through secondary noise to deliver the audio performance you need in the heat of battle. It gives you the info you need with powerful audio drivers, keeps your voice clear and natural, and the enhanced comfort and battery life keep you focused and in the game,” said Nick Bourne, VP of Gaming Devices at Corsair.
On PC, Dolby Atmos spatial audio adds positional audio to the headset, allowing players to identify sounds from different directions and locations. Corsair gives examples such as footsteps above the player, a reload happening behind them, or distant gunfire coming from the left.

Voice communication is handled by a 10 mm broadcast-grade microphone capsule. The microphone includes a built-in pop filter and can be muted by flipping it upward. On compatible PCs with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card, users can also enable NVIDIA Broadcast microphone enhancements through Corsair iCUE to reduce keyboard noise, fan noise, and room ambience.
The HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS is designed for long gaming sessions with plush memory foam ear cushions covered in breathable fabric and a floating adjustable headband. The headset weighs 370 grams and uses an aluminium frame.

Wireless connectivity combines 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth, allowing users to game on one device while taking a call or listening to music from another. Compatibility includes PC, Mac, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices.
Battery life is one of the major upgrades, with Corsair rating the headset for up to 110 hours over 2.4 GHz wireless and up to 130 hours over Bluetooth. A 15-minute charge can provide up to six hours of additional use. The headset also includes on-ear controls for volume, power, and Bluetooth functions.

Corsair’s iCUE software provides EQ customization, pre-tuned audio profiles, RGB lighting controls, and access to NVIDIA Broadcast features. The HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS is available from October 8, 2026, through Corsair’s webstore and its worldwide network of authorized retailers and distributors. It is backed by a two-year warranty and Corsair’s global customer support network.
