8BitDo Launches Tomb Raider 30th Anniversary Xbox Controllers Inspired by Lara Croft

8BitDo is bringing Lara Croft to its latest gaming peripherals with a new Tomb Raider 30th Anniversary collection made in partnership with Xbox. The collection includes special editions of the 8BitDo Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad and Ultimate 3 Controller for Xbox, combining designs inspired by the classic Tomb Raider games with modern controller hardware.

The two models take different approaches to the anniversary theme. The Tomb Raider Anniversary Edition Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad is heavily inspired by the original Tomb Raider, with the Lost Valley level serving as a key part of its design. The controller also includes green and gold joystick toppers that match the colors used throughout the themed design.

The Ultimate 3 Controller takes inspiration from both the classic and modern versions of Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider series. It also comes with a charging dock that stores the 2.4GHz wireless dongle, making it easier to keep the receiver with the controller when it is not in use.

The Tomb Raider Anniversary Edition Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad costs $79.99 and will be available through the 8BitDo store and Amazon. The Tomb Raider Anniversary Edition Ultimate 3 Controller is priced at $119.99 and will be sold exclusively through the 8BitDo store. Both controllers are scheduled to start shipping on October 24.

Hardware-wise, the Pro 3 keeps the features found on the standard model. It uses TMR joysticks and Hall-effect triggers, along with magnetic and interchangeable ABXY button toppers. The controller supports multiple platforms and includes six-axis motion control, giving it more flexibility beyond Xbox and PC gaming.

The Ultimate 3 is equipped with TMR joysticks featuring adjustable tension and dual-stop Hall-effect triggers. It also adds L4 and R4 bumpers for additional inputs, while a 3.5mm headphone jack provides audio passthrough. Six-axis motion control is supported on PC, and the included charging dock doubles as storage for the wireless receiver.

For Tomb Raider fans, the main attraction is the themed design, but 8BitDo has kept the core hardware close to its existing Pro 3 and Ultimate 3 controllers. That means buyers are getting the same customization-focused platform with a design built around the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

The collection follows 8BitDo’s recent Xbox Cozy Collection, continuing the company’s collaboration with Xbox across themed gaming accessories. With both Tomb Raider controllers arriving in October, fans will have the option of choosing between the more classic-inspired Pro 3 and the feature-packed Ultimate 3.
